Stake Provably Fair Checker
Paste your seeds and bet number to rebuild any Stake Dice, Limbo or Mines result yourself. It runs in your browser; nothing is sent anywhere.
Use the revealed server seed, not the hash. Stake shows it after you rotate your seed pair.
How the check works
Each bet uses HMAC-SHA256 with the server seed as the key and "client seed:nonce:round" as the message. Every 4 bytes of the result make one number between 0 and 1.
- Dice: roll = floor(number × 10001) ÷ 100, so 0.00 to 100.00.
- Limbo: result = 0.99 × 100,000,000 ÷ (floor(number × 100,000,000) + 1), cut to 2 decimals, at least 1.00x.
- Mines: each number picks one tile from the ones left, until all mines are placed. Tiles count 1 to 25, left to right, top to bottom.
We test the checker against public test results for Stake's method.
Questions
What does provably fair mean on Stake?
Before you bet, Stake shows a hash (a locked fingerprint) of its server seed. Each result is made from that server seed, your client seed and a bet number (nonce). When you change seeds, Stake reveals the old server seed, so you can rebuild every bet and see nothing was changed.
Where do I find my seeds on Stake?
On Stake, open a bet or the Fairness settings. You see your client seed, the hashed server seed and the nonce. Rotate your seed pair to reveal the old server seed, then paste it here.
Do my seeds get sent anywhere?
No. The check runs in your browser with standard SHA-256 HMAC. Nothing is sent to RakeOwl or anyone else.
My result does not match. What now?
Check that you used the revealed server seed (not the hash), the exact client seed and the right nonce. Nonces count from 0 for each seed pair.
